**Charity Sends Massive Aid to Ukraine**
A charity in Lancashire has sent over 850 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Ukraine since the Russian invasion. The International Aid Trust, based in Chorley, has also shipped out more than 30 emergency vehicles.
These vehicles are packed with essential supplies like food, clothes, medical equipment, and generators. Recently, six fully-equipped ambulances and a pick-up truck were sent from Tarleton to Poland. A team of volunteers will drive these vehicles across difficult terrain to take injured people to hospitals for treatment.
**Ambulances Ready to Help**
The charity’s community ambassador, Julie Rowlandson, said the new ambulances are “very much needed”. She explained that one of the pick-up trucks sent earlier saved over 50 lives by quickly taking people to medical care. The team has worked hard to prepare everything for this shipment.
**Aid Will Reach Ukraine Soon**
The vehicles will be handed over to the charity’s team in Krakow, and then taken to agreed locations in Ukraine. They will help refugees and those injured in the war. This aid is a big effort by the International Aid Trust to support people affected by the conflict.
