**Russia Loses 806,500 Troops in Ukraine Since 2022**
Russia has lost a large number of troops and military equipment in Ukraine since its full-scale invasion began on February 24, 2022. According to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Russia has lost over 806,500 troops. This includes 1,570 casualties suffered just over the past day.
**Russian Military Equipment Lost**
Russia has also lost a significant amount of military equipment in Ukraine. These losses include:

* 20,271 armored fighting vehicles
* 33,534 vehicles and fuel tanks
* 21,817 artillery systems
* 1,260 multiple launch rocket systems
* 1,042 air defense systems
* 369 airplanes
* 331 helicopters
* 21,958 drones
* 28 ships and boats
* One submarine
**Russia’s Drone Attacks on Ukraine**
In a recent attack, Russia launched 74 Shahed-type attack drones and dummy drones against Ukraine overnight. However, the Air Force reported that 47 drones were shot down over 11 oblasts, while 27 dummy drones were lost in the airspace.
**NATO Allies to Increase Spending**
NATO allies are unlikely to meet the proposed spending target of 5% of GDP but are open to an increase from the current 2%, according to Reuters. This is a significant development for Ukraine’s security needs.
