**Ukraine Repatriates 757 Bodies of Fallen Soldiers**
On February 14, Ukraine announced that it had brought back the bodies of 757 soldiers who died fighting against Russia. The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War made this announcement.
The bodies were recovered from various sectors of the front, including Pokrovsk, Bakhmut, Vuhledar, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhia. Several government and military agencies, including the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Armed Forces, worked together to recover the bodies.
**Previous Repatriations**
In December 2024, Ukraine repatriated the bodies of 503 fallen soldiers, mostly from Donetsk Oblast. Last month, Ukraine also brought back the bodies of 757 soldiers from several oblasts.
**Casualties in the War**
President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that about 43,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed during the full-scale invasion by Russia.
**Ongoing Efforts to Repatriate Prisoners of War**
The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of POWs is also seeking the release of 36 Ukrainian prisoners of war who are believed to be held in the city of Grozny, Chechnya.
