**Civil Society Foundation Condemns Police Violence**
The Civil Society Foundation has spoken out against the police’s treatment of peaceful protesters. The organization says that the police used too much force, and tried to provoke violence. They also say that many people were arrested without being given access to a lawyer or their families.
**Rights Violations**
According to the Foundation, the police broke several important laws, including ones that protect people from being treated unfairly or hurt. The European Convention on Human Rights was also broken.
**Lack of Action**
The Foundation is upset with the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), Special Investigation Service (SIS), and the Prosecutor‘s Office for not taking action against the police who broke these laws.
**Call to Action**
The Civil Society Foundation wants the authorities to stop being violent towards protesters, to identify the police officers who did wrong, and to investigate the crimes they committed. They also want the international community to punish those responsible for this violence.
**Protests Started**
These protests started on November 28th because of a decision by Irakli Kobakhidze that said Georgia‘s path to joining the EU would be put off until 2028. This decision goes against an article in the Constitution of Georgia that says the country should join the EU.
