After a Ukrainian air strike, the largest oil terminal located in Feodosia in Crimea was almost destroyed.
The oil depot in Feodosia (in temporarily occupied Crimea) that was hit by the Ukrainian Defense Forces a week ago has been nearly completely destroyed. According to Telegram channel “Krymskyi Veter,” the fire was put out after almost seven days.
On 7 October, Ukrainian Armed Forces launched an attack on the oil terminal at Feodosia. This is the largest oil terminal in the peninsula, in terms of the amount of oil products that are transshipped to the Russian Army.
The Telegram channel reported that “a week after the fire began, the Feodosia Oil Terminal looks like this: charred reservoirs with islands of foam floating on lakes of water used for extinguishing the fire.”
The infrastructure of the storage facility was also severely damaged. The fire destroyed 8 of the 12 reservoirs. The site was also destroyed by fire.
“Atesh,” an anti-Ukrainian partisan group, had reported earlier that Russian troops were facing a fuel shortage following the strike.
To avoid any further Ukrainian attacks, the invaders set up mobile refueling station. The Russian high command instructed fuel stations to stay in one place for only 10-12 hour.
