**Parliament Leader Speaks Out on Fund Transparency**
Gia Volski, the First Vice-Speaker of Parliament in Georgia, believes that any fund must be transparent and open about its activities. He made this statement to journalists.
Volski thinks that funds involved in politics, especially those tied to revolutions, should face extra scrutiny. He said that information about a fund’s sources of funding should be available to the public. This way, people can see where money is coming from and what it is being used for.
The Georgian Prosecutor’s Office recently froze bank accounts belonging to several funds, including Nanuka’s Fund, Phrosferit, Fund for Each Other 24/7, Shame Movement, and Tbilisi Human Rights House. The office claimed that these funds were involved in supporting individuals who committed crimes and violence.
Volski said that funds must operate according to certain rules. He doesn’t know the details of this case but thinks that relevant agencies should provide more information.
