**Zurabishvili’s New Platform: Not Really New, Say UNM Leaders**
Salome Zurabishvili’s new platform is not a fresh idea, according to Giorgi Baramidze of the “Unity – United National Movement.” In a Facebook post, Baramidze stated that time has shown Zurabishvili wanted to lead all democratic parties but failed.
**Respect for Supporters**
Baramidze emphasized that the UNM respects Zurabishvili’s supporters and those who believe she should lead the fight against the Russian regime. The party is willing to cooperate with such forces, considering the interests of the country and Georgian society.
**Goal: Unity Among Democratic Forces**
The UNM’s goal, as stated by Baramidze, is the unity of all democratic and patriotic forces. He believes that through a united struggle, they will achieve more and faster results. This vision was set long ago by Mikheil Saakashvili, the founder and leader of the UNM.
**Lack of Unity**
Baramidze noted that despite efforts to unite the main political parties before and after elections, it has not been possible. He also stated that Zurabishvili’s recent statement, claiming the idea of unity was planted from outside, shows she did not work towards opposition unity.
**Public Protests Matter**
The UNM leader pointed out that public protests have had some success, such as imposing sanctions on the regime and keeping it isolated internationally. Baramidze encouraged people not to give up hope and believe that results will come with continued effort.
