Gusev claims that Russian air defense units intercepted a number of unmanned aerial vehicles over the region. He said that the fall of a UAV caused damage to an annex of a utility room in an industrial enterprise. Gusev said that Ukraine had targeted a distillery near the village of Krasnoe a second time in October. Gusev said that no casualties were reported. The Astra Telegram channel published video footage purportingly showing an explosion at a Voronezh Oblast facility at the time of a reported drone strike. The Russian Defense Ministry announced on October 27 that seven drones had been shot down in the oblasts of Voronezh and Belgorod. Kyiv has yet to comment on these reports. Ukraine has launched drone strikes to damage Russia‘s oil industry and military infrastructure. According to the General Staff, Ukraine attacked the Annanefteprodukt storage base for fuel and lubricants near the village Anna in Voronezh Oblast on Oct. 4. The Kyiv Independent was later informed by a source from the Security Service of Ukraine that the oil depot had been struck by drones operated the SBU.
