**British-Israeli Woman to be Freed from Captivity**
Emily Damari, a British-Israeli citizen, is expected to be released from captivity in Gaza. She was taken hostage 471 days ago and has been injured during her time in captivity.
Her mother, Mandy, is thrilled at the news but says she won’t believe it until Emily is safely back home. “Until Emily is out and I see her, it’s not happened,” she said. Mandy has spent the last 15 months worrying about her daughter’s safety and condition.
Emily was injured by a gunshot wound to her hand and shrapnel when she was taken from her home in Southern Israel into Gaza on October 7th. Her dog, Choocha, was also killed during the attack.
**Family’s Plea for Release of Other Hostages**
Mandy Damari is not just concerned about Emily’s release but also wants to see other hostages freed and receive humanitarian aid. She says it will be a long and difficult road ahead but hopes that their ordeal will soon come to an end.
Emily was last seen by her family in March 2024, when they were informed that she was still alive. Since then, there has been no news about her condition or well-being.
**Campaign for Emily’s Release**
Mandy Damari has traveled the world to campaign for Emily’s release and has met with politicians to raise awareness about their situation. She has also spoken publicly about her concerns for her daughter’s safety and well-being.
The family is hopeful that Emily will be released soon, but they know it won’t bring back all that they have lost. They just want their daughter back home with them after a brutal separation.
