**Ukraine‘s Drone Coalition Gets Big Boost**
The Ukrainian government has received over 2 billion euros ($2.1 billion) in assistance from its international partners to support the country’s drone program. This is a huge boost for Ukraine’s defense forces, which have been using drones to attack Russian targets.
**Drone Coalition Launched Last Year**
In January 2024, the UK and Latvia launched the drone coalition to help Ukraine strengthen its arsenal of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The coalition now has nearly 20 countries as members. Its main goal is to provide Ukraine’s defense forces with drones and support the development of Ukraine’s own defense industry.
**Drones Used to Attack Russian Targets**
Ukraine has been using long-range drones to attack deep into Russian territory, targeting military infrastructure like airfields, oil refineries, and logistical hubs. The country has also developed its own drone models, such as the Palianytsia and Peklo, which feature turbojet engines.
**Boosting Drone Production**
The Ukrainian government is planning to increase drone production in 2025, with a target of producing at least 30,000 long-range drones. This will help Ukraine’s defense forces become more effective in their attacks against Russian targets.
