Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze gave a post-election press briefing this morning. He stated, “The Georgians made the only choice they had; they chose peace, and the development of the country, its bright future in Europe.”
He claimed that the opposition television crews had set up provocations.
Kobakhidze thanked the Central Election Commission and its members for “administrating the elections flawlessly.” He expressed his gratitude to the Georgians who, according to him, “expressed their confidence” in the ruling political party.
He said: “These elections decided the fate of peace in Georgia, and all Georgians will be ‘consumers of peace’, without exception.”
He promised to bring about significant economic growth over the next four-year period.
He said that “peace will bring unprecedented growth to our country over the next four-year period.”
