Putin and Xi discuss the war in Ukraine during BRICS summit

During their meeting in Kazan on October 22, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed Ukraine with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.
The BRICS is a group of countries which includes Brazil, Russia , China, South Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia and the . They will be meeting in Kazan from October 22-24 for a 3-day summit. Moscow reports that 36 world leaders will be attending the conference.

Xi, Putin and others agreed that bilateral relations are at a historic high and they protect “regional stability and tranquility” together.
Beijing and Moscow are strengthening their economic and political links despite China’s official neutrality on Russia’s full scale war in Ukraine. During a previous meeting with Putin in Kazakhstan, Xi agreed that bilateral relations had reached a new high.
The U.S. has sanctioned Chinese companies for producing drones that were used in Russia’s conflict. Various countries have accused China for providing satellite imagery, machine tools, weapons technologies, semiconductors, as well as other dual-use technology to Russia.
