Sozar Subari, a member of People’s Power in the Georgian Parliament, has spoken out against the Collective National Movement. They are upset about being exposed for their wrongdoings and treacherous acts during the August 2008 war.
According to Subari, the Collective National Movement is trying to hide behind the uniforms of soldiers and generals to make it seem like the investigative commission‘s work is aimed at the Georgian army. However, this is not true.
**Exposure of Crimes During War**
The parliamentary investigative commission has uncovered many disturbing stories about people being tortured in prison facilities, having their property rights violated, and being persecuted for their political views during the war. **Witnesses Confirm Spontaneous Battle Plans**
Subari also mentioned that several witnesses, mainly military personnel, confirmed that battle plans were changed suddenly and thoughtlessly during the war. Two generals, Zaza Gogava and Mamuka Kurashvili, even called this change “completely unjustified” and “nationally damaging”.
