**New Ruling in Railway Station Collapse Case**
The Novi Sad Appeals Court has changed a previous decision. A court earlier said that former Construction Minister Goran Vesic should not be detained while he is on trial.
Vesic was charged with 12 others for the collapse of a concrete awning at the main railway station in November. This led to the deaths of 15 people. Vesic had already been in jail, but was released before the charges were announced.
The prosecution wanted Vesic and two other men to be kept in detention while they wait for their trial. However, the Novi Sad Higher Court disagreed and allowed them to remain free or under house arrest.
The Appeals Court has now ordered a review of this decision. This means that the case will go back to the Higher Court for reconsideration.
A politician from the Opposition Party of Freedom and Justice has spoken out about the ruling. Marinika Tepic says that the judges who made the original decision are biased against keeping Vesic in jail. She claims that three judges tried to keep him free, but were overruled by their colleagues.
