**EU Calls for Adoption of Freedom of Religion Law in Kosovo**
The European Commission has asked Kosovo’s Parliament to adopt a new law on freedom of religion. This move is aimed at protecting the rights of all communities in Kosovo.
According to Anitta Hipper, the Commission’s lead spokeswoman on Foreign Affairs and Security, the adoption of this law will benefit everyone in Kosovo. “We call for the adoption of the law on freedom of religion,” she said. “This law is in the interest of all communities. We invite MPs to support its adoption.”
The EU has also announced that its Special Representative, Miroslav Lajcak, will remain in office until the end of January. A new representative is being selected and the process is currently underway.
