France to Continue Supporting Ukraine in Military Sphere
The French government will keep supporting Ukraine militarily, said the country‘s ambassador. The support will continue despite France’s current political challenges.
Ambassador Veyssiere said that there is a broad agreement among French lawmakers to back Ukraine. He emphasized that this support will not be reduced due to France’s internal politics. “Definitely not,” he said.
France has consistently supported Ukraine in the past, and its new government will maintain this policy. The country has already supplied Ukraine with missiles used against Russian targets.
French President Macron earlier suggested that Western troops might be deployed to Ukraine if Russia breaks through the frontlines and Kyiv asks for help. This idea was first proposed in February and later revisited in May.
