University Students in Georgia Keep Their Status
The head of Shota Rustaveli State University of Theatre and Film in Georgia has made a decision. He will not punish students who were protesting at the university.
According to an official statement, the rector decided not to take the most severe action against the students. This means they will not lose their status as students.
Some students had already announced that they would leave the university on March 10. However, before that, they were asked to leave the building by staff on March 9 while they were protesting.
The rector made this decision after hearing from students, teachers, and staff members.
