**Georgian Dream’s Power to Fade**
Bidzina Ivanishvili, the honorary chairman of Georgian Dream, is in for a surprise. His time in power is coming to an end.
According to Tina Bokuchava, leader of “Unity – National Movement”, Ivanishvili will eventually have to relinquish power as he faces growing international isolation.
**A Three-Pronged Attack**
The United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union have all condemned Georgian Dream’s anti-democratic actions. The State Department in the US has spoken out against silencing or imprisoning opponents, while Vice President J.D. Vance stated that Georgian Dream cannot secure a democratic mandate by ignoring its own people.
**EU Shows No Tolerance**
The EU also showed no tolerance for Georgian Dream’s actions. High Representative Kaja Kallas and Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos issued a joint emergency statement emphasizing that Georgian Dream is undermining democracy and taking steps incompatible with EU values.
**UK Sanctions Heads of Judicial Clan**
The UK has delivered a major blow to the regime by sanctioning Murusidze and Chinchaladze, who are described as “the key enforcers of unjust political decisions in Ivanishvili’s judicial system.”
**No Repression Can Cover Up Isolation**
No matter how hard Ivanishvili tries with repression and arrests, he cannot cover up the deepening international isolation. Bokuchava said that eventually, he will have to compromise and relinquish power.
