**Nika Gvaramia Demands Information on Mzia Amaghlobeli’s Health**
Nika Gvaramia, a leader of the “Coalition for Change,” is calling on the Ministers of Health and Justice to provide information about the health condition of Mzia Amaghlobeli. Amaghlobeli is the director of “Batumelebi” and “Netgazeti.” She has been on a hunger strike in prison for 16 days.
Gvaramia says that the Ministries of Justice and Health should establish a medical council to update the public daily on Amaghlobeli’s health condition. This is in line with international hunger strike protocols, which require regular updates on the person’s health.
**Mzia Amaghlobeli: A Victim of Torture**
Gvaramia states that Mzia Amaghlobeli is a victim of torture and inhumane treatment. She was denied water for an hour, and later, she was not allowed to use the restroom for four hours. This is considered a form of torture.
Mzaglobeli’s imprisonment is absurd, as she committed no crime. In fact, crimes were committed against her. The head of the Batumi police, Dgebuadze, spat in her face and attempted several assaults.
**Call to Action**
Gvaramia calls on the Ministers of Health and Justice to come to their senses before it is too late. She also urges the head of the Penitentiary Department and the Special Investigation Service to take action.
The Prosecutor’s Office has the authority to change Mzaglobeli’s pretrial detention to any other form without a ruling or formalities. Gvaramia urges them to do so.
