**Lithuanian MEP Warns of Unpredictable Consequences for Georgia**
Lithuanian Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Petras Auštrevičius has spoken out about the situation in Georgia. He believes that the country is at a breaking point and that it must choose between its European path or an Eastern way.
According to Auštrevičius, the Georgian Dream government’s actions are not democratic. “They have a different scenario, a scenario of authoritarian regime,” he said. “It’s absolutely Russian way, Eastern way.” He warned that this will have devastating consequences for the Georgian people.
Auštrevičius also spoke about his own country’s relationship with Georgia. He announced that Lithuania has cut all official contracts with the Georgian Dream government. He believes that there should be no individual approach to dealing with Tbilisi and that all member states should follow the same path.
**A Call for Change**
When asked what steps the Georgian Dream government should take to improve relations with the EU, Auštrevičius said that they must hold free and fair elections. “There was fraud during the elections,” he stated. “They have to pay a price, and they have to come up with a plan.” He emphasized that this is not just a matter for Georgia, but also for the EU.
Auštrevičius believes that it’s now time for the Georgian Dream government to take responsibility and make changes. “The ball is in Tbilisi’s court,” he said.
