**Police Crackdown on Protest Expected**
The leader of the parliamentary majority, Mamuka Mdinaradze, has spoken out against a protest planned for February 8. According to him, some individuals are trying to get protesters to block Agmashenebeli Avenue.
This is a crime, says Mdinaradze. He believes that certain people want to use the protesters as a way to accuse the government of being oppressive.
The plan is to have protesters block the road while telling them it’s not against the law. Then, police will arrest them and claim they are prisoners of the regime.
